*arrives a day l8 to the party w/ starbucks* -Happy #tdov #TransDayofVisibility!!

My name is Jasper, I’m a young trans man just making my own way in the world!!! Things have been, quite frankly, a real shitstorm concerning my coming out and pre-transition.

Apart from my unsupportive mother and step father (which I won’t go into as it’s personal), the tumblr queer and general community has been incredibly hurtful to me. You’ll notice I’m quite feminine, that my blog is all things cute and pink, only recently have I allowed myself to blog about what I like.

Tumblr (and my family irl) have told me multiple times that I cannot be a trans boy if i like “girly” things, that I’m a fake. I have my identity questioned by everybody nearly every day, like it’s their RIGHT just because I like PINK

This is bullshit and needs to stop, the hypocrisy is off the charts. I hate seeing posts on tumblr alluring that “cis boys can like pink too!” only to be told repeatedly that trans boys cannot. Like honestly wtf is the difference? Y’all can shove a pine cone up your tight asses.

#TransSelfieDay is March 31st. (International Trans Day of Visibility)

Did some Google searching Found this on wiki.

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual holiday occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide. The holiday was founded by Michigan-based transgender activist[3] Rachel Crandall in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBT holidays celebrating transgender people, citing the frustration that the only well-known transgender-centered holiday was the Transgender Day of Remembrance which mourned the loss of transgender people to hate crimes, but did not acknowledge and celebrate living members of the transgender community.

And that, friends, deserves a big spread of awareness.

The hashtag is actually #transvisibility, traditionally

Okay so imagine that a mother gives birth to a baby boy. And imagine that the mother really wanted a girl instead. So the mother decides to raise the child as a girl. She buys pink clothes, little dresses, hair pins, scolds the child when he “doesn’t act ladylike” etc etc etc.

Most people would see this as child abuse. And they would be right.

But what if I told you that this happens every single fucking day. Children who are not boys are forced to act like boys, and children who are not girls are forced to act like girls.

This is what it’s like growing up transgender in a household with a family that does not accept you.

OHHH MY GODDDDD reblog the fuck out of this 🙌🙌🙌
